My Summer Must Haves

It has officially been one month since my summer break started, so I felt it was time to update you all with what I have loved so far...

1. BIG SUNGLASSES

Sunglasses in the summer are a given, but, this summer larger framed sunglasses are all of the heat!

At the beginning of summer, I bought a $10 pair of sunglasses from Tilly's, and when I tell you I have worn them every single day since, I am not joking. There is something about the big frames that have the power to make me feel like a celebrity and I am absolutely obsessed with them. Plus, I like how they cover my face a good bit. Personally, I ordinarily stick to all-black sunglasses for my daily use, but I also love a good brown, tortoise, or even a colored pair. I've recently been super into the colored lenses sunglasses with black frames that are trending right now. Sunglasses are so versatile, especially once you figure out what frames suit your own face best.

P.S. I still find smaller frames to be so cute, they just trended more last summer. I will always love these styles of sunglasses, especially the ones in the second picture below!

2. SOLID-COLORED BIKINIS

Now don't get me wrong, a patterned bikini is super cute, but this summer one color bikinis are all I'm wearing.

Solid-colored bikinis give off a more clean and mature feel and they perfectly tie into the minimalistic look that is super popular right now. The simplicity of one-toned bathing suits is generally much less distracting and more attractive and you can add a cute cover-up and accessorize to bring these summer outfits to life.

3. HATS, HATS, HATS

Along with sunglasses being the perfect accessory for summer, hats are also cute and great for face sun protection.

Baseball caps are the perfect addition to a laid-back summer outfit or a pool or beach day and there are so many different designs and hats out there to fit your liking. I love a good cowgirl hat and these have been in the mainstream for quite some time. I personally have been looking to buy a straw hat, like the ones in the pictures below, because I think that they are just so cute to pair with a skirt, dress, and, of course, a bathing suit. For those of you going on a European vacation or beach trip, I also highly suggest looking into getting a big flowy beach hat, these are just so fun and perfect for a summer getaway.

Plus, let's not forget that hats are the best on a bad hair day!

4. CROPPED JEANS

If I'm being entirely honest, I personally am not a huge fan of denim shorts because I can rarely find a pair that fit right and are comfortable and cute, and I usually don't want to wear jeans in the summertime, but I think I have found the picture compromise between the two, cropped jeans. I recently bought 2 pairs of cropped jeans from Zara and I am obsessed. These pants are so adorable and easy to make an outfit with and they are less basic than normal jeans.

5. ALL WHITE OUTFITS

White is the perfect light color for summer, and monochrome white outfits are my current craze. The elegance and class that these outfits give off are unmatched AND they're summery, such a win. Also, these outfits are super simple and the right gold or colored accessories would go perfectly with them and add some more character.

6. MINI DRESSES

I feel like mini-dresses are fairly self-explanatory, but they must be mentioned. Mini dresses are so girly and cute and perfect to slip on for a summer day. Plus, once again, they are also super easy outfits, which if you cant tell are a must for me!
