My Summer Look Book

It’s finally that time of year again when we must put away our winter clothes and welcome summer fashion back into our closets. To me, summer dress is a season to wear fun and bright colors while also trying to beat the Florida heat. Although I’m used to wearing fairly warm outfits all year round, it is much colder at my college and I feel like I’m not even in Florida half of the time, so I'm very excited for summer and my break from school. In this post, I’ll start to dive into some of my favorite summer clothing essentials and share pictures from my various Pinterest boards that I am also currently using for outfit inspo. I anticipate many more summer fashion-oriented posts in the near future… Follow along to stay updated!

My Absolute FAVE Summer Clothing Right Now:

• Basic tees and tanks-- slim-fitting, loose, cropped, ribbed, etc.

• 90s boyfriend style denim shorts-- ya know, jorts!

• Fluffy short skirts, mini skirts, midi skirts-- all the skirts all summer long

• Baby tees -- bonus points for a cute graphic

• Patterned tube tops -- I swear tube tops are making their comeback this summer

• Crochet anything and everything

• Big and funky sunglasses -- the weirder the accessory, the more fun it is

• High-cut bikinis -- this is seriously such a flattering style for any body type

• Triangle bikini tops -- so simple, but always so cute

• Flowy tank tops -- these kinds of tops just scream spring and summer in my opinion

• Matching sets -- dressed up or dressed down either way, this trend is sticking around and I'm here for it

• Sweaters and cardigans

• Baseball hats -- another cute accessory that doubles as shade from the sun

• Chunky platform sandals -- yes, like the ones your grandma probably wears

• Colored jeans -- H&M and Zara have a nice variety of adorable and affordable jeans

• Button-down shirts -- such a great piece to have (I truly can't stress this enough)

• Teeny tiny tops

• Corset tops

• Overalls -- love that this simple and practical piece is coming back into the fashion realm

• Gingham -- this pattern has been around forever, and I don't see it going away before summer 2022 ends

• Mini dresses -- colorful, floral, and other patterned ones are to die for!
